(+) Chapter 2

YAY! YAY! YAY!

I just got off an airplane and had a message from Dr Shivani. We just spoke and she gave me the news. Our beta is a little on the low side - 40 - so she is taking another blood test on Friday and will phone with the results. Let's pray it doubles!!

Deep breaths...

I cannot begin to express how much the support from so many of you has meant to us. It is so reassuring to know you have so many people cheering you on and wishing you well. Overwhelming.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

oh my goodness... i wish you so much good fortune and prayers. just yesterday i spoke to a friend about finding a surrogate. she pointed me to india. i got on the internet which led me to an agency called visitandcare which led me to dr. shivani and your blog. i am now awaiting reply as to whether we will be accepted. i'm very nervous. however reading your story is so heartwarming and has definitely broadened my life experience, as you have said. please please please keep posting. i will follow!

My first beta was lower than yours (34,88) and up to now (already 21 weeks) my pregnancy is perfect.

So I really wish you the same thing: have a uneventful pregnancy and a cute little baby in 9 months.

Relax and enjoy :-)

Little Alexa, who is 4 days old today was 20.2 on day 14! The betas kept doubling, but just and were always on the low side. By our third beta test, everyone had lost hope on a healthy pregnancy! Soon there was a heartbeat and the rest is history! She is now the most lovely little thing in the world.

Just remember, the most important thing is the doubling.

All the best......All my fingers and toes are crossed for you.
